My name is Emily and I am the founder, owner, and designer behind Emily Shaffer Studio. My team and I are focused on bringing you a contemporary jewelry brand focused on making jewelry that makes you feel as good as it makes you look!

While living in picturesque Maine has greatly influenced my work ethic and artist community, most of my visual inspiration was gained while living in close proximity to Philadelphia and New York City. This brand encompasses these experiences, my personality, and my unique manipulation of timeless jewelry aesthetics.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Emily received her B.F.A and B.S. from Kutztown University. She moved to Maine in 2014 for a 1 year internship with studio jeweler, Cara Romano. Since then she has made a home in Maine to begin her career creating wearable jewelry with vitreous enamel and sterling silver. Read about the internship here.

Emily works out of her home studio in Franklin, Maine. Planning a visit to Maine this summer? Stop by and say hello! Franklin is just a short drive away from Acadia National Park and downtown Ellsworth. Emily would love to share her studio and jewelry collection with you. Send her an email to plan your visit.

"My focus is to create jewelry that is clean, modern and versatile. It’s made to be functional and to complement the wearer’s own individuality. Using silver and enamel, I seek compositions of line and negative space. Limiting my color palette allows for a greater emphasis on the body and the linear quality of my work. My interest in contemporary jewelry and adornment fuels my will to create work that is both finely crafted, and designed for the modern day jewelry wearer. "

Emily is the recipient of the J. Allen Pawling Craft Memorial Award, an American Craft Week 30 Under 30 Rising Star, and a 2017 Halstead Grant Top 5 Finalist.
